Meet the Owner

Tim Kempen

I build custom masonry — and I fix masonry other people built wrong.

The trade runs in my family. I started in 1999 at my father's company, Kempen Brothers LLC, straight out of high school, then worked alongside my uncle at Rick Kempen LLC. In 2019 I put my own name on the work and founded Watertight Masonry. That's 26 years of mortar under my fingernails — and every one of those years is standing on somebody's house right now.

  • You work with me, not a salesman. The guy who quotes your job is the guy who builds it.
  • Custom builds and honest repairs. Outdoor fireplaces, chimneys, stone, tuckpointing — new work or saving what you've got.
  • Straight answers. If a $400 repair will do it, I'm not selling you a $9,000 rebuild.
  • Licensed, insured, and accountable. Family trade, family name — I'm not about to embarrass it.
  • Built like it's my own home. Because in this area, odds are I'll drive past it every week.
